SILVIA CAPELL. EN DICIEMBRE

Talking about the company En Diciembre, is talking about Sílvia Capell, who has strongly pushed the company since 2015 with a solid commitment to contemporary art. Sílvia generates a risky art that does not leave indifferent looking for a dialogue with the public from a direct site and without anesthesia. She is a creator and contemporary circus artist. At the age of 23 she started the Circo La Tarumba school in Lima, Peru. Three years later she built her base in Barcelona and worked with different companies and projects. Collective La Persiana, “Les Capgirades”, Los Galindos and Les Impuxibles.

She is an artist who has experimented with different circus techniques and ways of doing things.

TRIBUTE is her first solo, accompanied by a white WOLF that refers to that of Princess Mononoke, a WOLF that supports her and accompanies her in the deepest wound that Silvia has in this life: DEATH.

Getting bored makes her panic, she needs to get out of her comfort zone to feel alive. She doesn’t trust control and likes people that she is constantly looking for and questioning.

In 2022 she begins to think about her second piece as a creator: “ÁNGELA”

HOMENAJE is a sweet wound that questions the audience and positions them as potential victims.
HOMENAJE is a moment to celebrate, to share, and to live.
