Synopsis

Acrobatic duo of women falling together

The theory of free fall becomes the perfect excuse to slip into the relational universe of the two protagonists.

A range of physical and emotional loops unfolds, guided by their own evident shortcomings, leading them to express love in the most inevitably clumsy and sincere way.

The helplessness of not knowing how to sustain the relationship translates into acrobatic words that intertwine affection and aggression. Bodies communicate through falls, swinging along the fine line between the everyday and the absurd.

Would a parachute save them from free fall? Or would it simply make it longer?

THE SHOW
Freefall as an allegory. Two friends chat, argue, manipulate each other, synchronize their bodies, expend energy, and start all over again. Acrobatics that are verbalized and words that are “acrobatized.” Our two parachutists will address their anxieties, needs, the fragility and strength of their relationship, always through a language in which words and bodies exchange weight on stage. A brilliant and explosive performance and an ingenious script, with constant touches of humor that permeate both the verbal and physical dialogue of two women peering into the abyss. The parachute as a metaphor, because, after all, we all have to fall, and these two artists do it—again and again—superbly.

WHY SEE “FREEFALL FOR PEOPLE WITH VERTIGO”? A highly recommended show for people who want to enjoy a circus that embraces language and plays with it. A combination of explosive acrobatics (closer to waterfalls or slapstick than to high-flying stunts, for example), dance, and physical theatre with huge doses of humor. A multi-layered show that makes it highly enjoyable for viewers of all ages.
